Have you had times in your life when things all of a sudden did not go as you expected them to? We get into a routine and do not even think about what could change for the worse. Tonight, I was thinking about my family and friends in Texas and Florida that were affected by the hurricanes. Sure, you know that there is always a possibility each year, but you never expect the level of impact that took place earlier in the year.
You may not have known anyone that has gone through this and only saw the television reports. What you saw was the physical damage that took place. Sometimes, the real damage is the toll that it takes mentally and emotionally. We ask God why we have to experience it. He never promised us that we would not have any obstacles in our lives.
These obstacles not only affect us personally, but may take a toll on relationships with the stress that goes along with it. We need to recognize not only our needs, but those needs of those around us. We can provide the support that others need to overcome the obstacles of their lives.
God’s grace is always there for us. We need to thank Him in advance for helping us overcome our trials and tribulations. Tell yourself that you are strong, because the Lord is there for you. Ephesians 6:10 says “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Lean on Him and have the confidence that He will never leave your side and will give you the strength to overcome even the worst of your struggles.
Please continue to give your support and prayers for those people that cross our paths of life that are struggling. Let them see Jesus Christ in you. In the United States, we celebrated Thanksgiving last week. We were aware of all of the blessings in our lives and reflected on them. Do not let it be just a one day celebration. Reflect daily on all of the blessings that God has laid upon you. It will give you the strength to get through the tougher days.
