Do you know what is around the curve in the trail? I am on the greenway in Nashville on regular basis, so know what to expect around each curve. Our life, though, is not as easy to predict.
Some people do not like change. They stick with jobs that they are not completely satisfied with just
because they are scared of what would happen if they change companies. Just because you stay with a company for years does not make it completely predictable. Most of us know people that have lost their jobs due to downsizing.
Sometimes it is best to take a chance and change career paths. It may open up opportunities that you never knew even existed or that fits your skill set perfectly. No matter what your personality is, you will enter an area of unknown. This is where your faith in God should kick in and comfort your mind. He can put opportunities in front of you that you were not even looking for. Don’t have regrets in life. Take some chances.
God will always provide for your needs. It may mean that you have to go through some lean years financially to be able to appreciate what is really important in life. It is definitely not money and things. All of our experiences should be learning opportunities. You never know when the next year of your life will be your best. Go around that unknown curve in your path. You may find that the view is better on the other side. Remember that the journey of life is a long path. It is a scenic trail with numerous bends, dips and hills.
There is nothing wrong with stopping for a rest. On the greenway, there are benches along the way. You can stop to rest, or to take in the environment. Life is the same way. Sometimes we need to stop and rest. If you work all the time and do not take time for relaxation, you are not experiencing life the way it needs to be. Balance your life more and do not feel guilty about relaxing.
