Thomas A. Mayberry

I have been in leadership roles the majority of my life.  I thought that I was an expert in my 20’s. Looking back now, I was far from it.  My style has grown over the years to what it is today.  I used to think that the peers of mine that were getting promoted or opening their own businesses must be doing the right things so I tried copying them.  This got me nowhere.  I was not true to myself and my personal beliefs.

As my faith in God grew over the years, so did my approach to leadership.  I learned that if I stay focused on my beliefs, I can not fail.  I no longer worry about how other leaders around me grow their teams.  I have a proven approach and am so proud of my team’s accomplishments.

I want the opportunity to share this with you.  I will help you determine what defines your style.  If it is not the right influence, then I can coach you through a change in style.  You can learn from my struggles and save yourself years of making the same mistakes that I did.

I write on leadership, personal development, stress management and on occasion topics that do not fall under these specific categories.  My goal is to provide information that you can apply to your personal and professional life.  The approach that you take in interacting with people should not be different whether in your personal life or at work.

I typically will post once per week.  To make sure that you do not miss my newest posts, you can subscribe via RSS or e-mail.

You do not have to be in management to be a leader.  You have the opportunity everyday of your life to make an impact on the people around you.  This could be family members, co-workers, a little league baseball team or a group at church.  How you treat people goes far in getting the most out of the relationship.  What defines you?
